Mission Statement(ver: 14-Sept-2006)Read Chapter 3 of the Ulrich and Eppinger text. Create a mission statement for your project that follows the format of Exhibit 3-10 in the text. Add to the template a heading titled "May Deliverables" and fill with a list of no more than five specific deliverables. This is the statement to use if you find yourself face-to-face with the company CEO and have 30 seconds to describe the project. The mission statement is also the contract between the team and the client that defines the product and the project. Be specific and avoid generic mom-and-apple-pie statements about product development. Email the mission statement to your company rep to get comments/approval. Revise the mission statement as the project proceeds. |
